Pub's licence revoked

A PUB has had its licence revoked after an application was made to St Helens Council by police.
Councillors from the licensing sub committee met to discuss concerns by St Helens police bosses about The Whitehouse, on Sutton Road.
The meeting was held in private, meaning the Star could not access the hearing or any documentation submitted as part of the police’s request.
A St Helens Council spokeswoman confirmed the licence had revoked but added that the license would have 21 days to appeal the decision.
