AMERICAN Blues hero Walter Trout is set to perform at the Citadel on Monday, October 15.
Voted sixth ‘Best Guitarist Ever’ in a BBC Radio listeners poll, Trout’s guitar playing skills are legendary and his live performances acclaimed.
As well as playing with his own band Trout has featured on various other artists’ albums going back to the 80s.
During his illustrious 30-year career he has topped the blues album charts with albums including Full Circle, which saw the musician collaborate with various other artists.
Two years later Trout released The Outsider, which also topped the blues charts.
Trout’s shows have been described as ‘mesmerising’, and he has been noted for his genuine rapport with fans, which is both funny and intense.
There are still a few tickets remaining for the gig, which is expected to sell out within the next week.
Tickets are £18 and £20.
