PICTURE: Spaceship over St Helens

‘Close Encounters’ Where in St Helens is this? ‘Close Encounters’ Where in St Helens is this?

HAS photographer Robbob from Fingerpost finally captured conclusive proof that we have visitors from another world dropping in?

This image seems to show a ‘Close Encounters’ type of UFO hovering over town.

The reality is much more down to earth.

Robbob had, in fact, taken a shot from the interior of the landmark Peasley Cross gasometer which is currently being demolished.

Thats what the authorities are telling us.

Gasometer my backside thats an alien spacecraft if ever I saw one.

No doubt they are seeking knowledge of the advanced civilisation St Helens has become.

Ever remember that series in the eighties called V? When that woman unzipped herself and it was a lizard with attitude?

I have been having a close look at those photos of Marie Rimmer on the star website although reassuringly I could not see anything resembling a zip.

So we are safe....I think.
