Flood alert: Fire Service tackles flooding in Blackbrook
Two families have been evacuated from homes in Blackbrook after the Sankey Canal burst its banks.
Some roads in St Helens have reopened following yesterday’s heavy rain, but others have closed.
The latest information confirms:
Blackbrook Road: Now open
West End Road: Now open
College Street : Closed – diversion in place.
Islands Brow : Closed due to flooding in Merton Bank Road
Peasley Cross Lane : Water levels have gone down, but road still closed and diversion in place.
Burrows Lane : Closed – but adjacent service road can be used.
Watery Lane : Closed.
