9:48am Tuesday 25th September 2012 in News
IT’S the final call to hand in your entries for this year’s St Helens Open Art competition.
Artists who want to enter the competition should take their work (with completed entry forms and £6 entry fee) to the World of Glass, Chalon Way East, on Wednesday 26 or Thursday 27 September between 4pm and 8pm.
Entry forms are available from The World of Glass, libraries, Rennies art shop in Bridge Street and the St Helens Star office in Hardshaw Street.
Artists of all levels - who live, work or study in St Helens – can take part.
As part of the event, they will have their work showcased in the St Helens Open Art exhibition.
The competition is open to all levels of ability, from amateur artists to art students and professionals, aged 16 upwards.
All art disciplines are welcome including ceramics, digital, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, needlework and sculpture.
Winners, who could share cash prizes totalling £2,000, will be chosen by judges including Olwen McLaughlin, Director of Editions Limited in Liverpool, Will Simm, from The Rainford Trust and Hannah Longworth Curator at The World of Glass.
