Man cut free from car following collision on Cowley Hill Lane

A MAN had to be cut free from a car following a collision early this morning.

Firefighters were called at around 6.10am to Cowley Hill Lane.

The 40-year-old, who was conscious and breathing, was removed on a long board and taken to Whiston Hospital, where he was treated for suspected neck and back injuries.

The collision involved two cars and the other driver was uninjured.

Two fire engines from Parr Stocks Fire Station attended along with the Search and Rescue Team from Croxteth.
