A replica of James Bond’s Aston Martin, will be among the vehicles featuring at this year’s Classic Car Show.

The event will be held in Church Square in the town centre on Saturday, September 15.

Organised by St Helens Council and the St Helens Classic Car Association, the show features vehicles from 1940s, 50s 60s and 70s as well as a range of classic American cars.

One of the star attractions will be a replica of James Bond’s iconic Aston Martin DB5, which became an overnight sensation after appearing in films like Goldfinger and Thunderball.

Hundreds of motoring fans are expected at the one-day show, which forms part of St Helens Council’s extensive and diverse town centre events programme.

Deputy leader of St Helens Council and cabinet member for urban regeneration, housing and culture Clr Barrie Grunewald said: “There’ll be plenty to see – with dozens of owners displaying their prestige cars.

“We’re expecting a big turnout. It’s great to see the town centre providing such a terrific backdrop to this hugely popular event.”

The event takes place between 10am and 5pm and is completely free to see.

Prizes will be awarded for the best vehicles.
