Yobs torch wheelie bin close to flats

LOUTS set fire to an industrial wheelie bin in an underpass below a block of flats.
The fire broke out on Brookside Road in Whiston at around 4.52pm yesterday, just 15 feet away from the flats.
Watch Manager Ian Clarke, from Whiston Community Fire Station said: “There were three large domestic wheelie bins in the underpass. Storing bins in this way is not the safest approach. We would always advise that people keep wheelie bins away from properties and stored securely if possible.
“It was a metal bin with rubbish paper inside. What was inside was just ash.”
