Woman to be sentenced for 'inappropriately touching' teenage boy

A 36-YEAR-old woman was remanded in custody after she was found guilty of inappropriately touching a 14-year-old boy.

Joanne Smith, from Huskinson Street in Liverpool, had denied the charge but was found guilty after a trial at St Helens Magistrates’ Court.

She pleaded guilty to a number of other charges, including assaulting a woman police officer and using threatening language in Parr on May 4 this year.

Citing a failure to comply with court orders, magistrates placed her in custody until today (Thursday, September 13) when she will be sentenced.
