Sitting on a fortune...winning St Helens EuroMillions ticket still to be claimed

SOMEONE is St Helens is sitting on a potential fortune after it emerged a winning EuroMillions ticket has yet to be claimed.

The search is on to track down the winner of the ticket, worth £445,440.80, which matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star in the draw on Tuesday, August 21.

The winning numbers were 4, 5, 17, 38, 48 and the Lucky Stars were 3 and 4. The lucky-ticket holder has until Sunday, February 17, 2013 to claim their prize.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding. “Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa;akil someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune!

“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
