Fire-hit pub Saracen's Head could face bulldozer

PLANS have been drawn up to demolish a derelict pub, which has become a magnet for vandals.

Eight semi-detached homes would be created on land where the Saracen’s Head, on Kentmere Avenue, Carr Mill, currently stands, if a planning application gets the go ahead.

The proposals had been submitted to St Helens Council before the blaze that ripped through the pub's shell on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire is being treated as arson.

Oh well look at that ~ planning permission had already been sought BEFORE the blaze. What a big surprise. Not.
