Teenager stole Blackberries

A 19-YEAR-OLD has been handed a community order after he stole two Blackberry mobile phones.

Matthew Parry, of Salisbury House, Phoenix Brow admitted two charges of theft on July 3 in St Helens.

Appearing at St Helens Magistrates’ Court, Parry also admitted stealing a case of lager from the Co-op store on Fleet Lane.

He must attend a course that addresses substance-related offending.

why do you give addresses as pheonix brow? why not put salvation army hostel to let people know it is a den of eniquity,as it appears at least once per week in crime related stories

Would it make you feel better if it said "salvation army"?...if so, why? The lad is only 19 and living in a place like that. I'm not condoning pinching phones, and i wouldn't want mine stolen, but i wish the "hang 'em high brigade" would spare a thought for the broader social issues in stories like this, rather than just patting themselves on the back for having better addresses.

When I first saw this headline I thought, that's odd as there's no need to steal anyones blackberries as you can get literally thousands of them for free from the bushes in the countryside around St Helens if they had bothered to look.
I must be showing my age.

Freedom of speech star style - I said I thought it was good that not everyone was the same as me - that I worked freelance for KMBC and I think thieves should be banned - and the comment was removed. Way to go Andy.
