ST HELENS Classic Car Spectacular proved a ‘roaring’ success at the North West Museum of Road Transport.

The event saw classic car owners from around the north west and North Wales come together to admire a clutch of gleaming models, representing the finest in automobile history.

With everything from Morris Minors to Ford Cortinas, the show had something for everyone, and the number of visitors reflected the success of the gathering.

More than 250 people came to the museum on the day, and NWMRT secretary, Clive Arnold, was very happy with the turnout.

He told the Star: “Today was very much a success, building on previous events we have put on at the museum.

“It’s great to see such a variety of cars of different ages and people of different ages enjoying the show.

“We are looking to organise similar events for the future, which will hopefully be as successful as this one.”
