STUDENTS, parents and teachers from across the UK came to Penkford School in Newton-le-Willows when it hosted this year’s Engage National Awards event.

Engage is a charitable body to which many schools subscribe, and the event celebrates the achievements across categories including Outstanding Personal Progress, Outstanding Achievement, Outstanding Contribution to the Community, Innovation and Creativity, Team of the Year, Beyond the UK and Outstanding Selflessness.

Chris Foy, the St Helens Premiership football referee, presented the awards.
