Helena’s hunt is on for unsung community heroes

A HOUSING team has launched the annual search for St Helens unsung heroes who go one step further to change lives in their community.
Helena Homes Making A Difference Awards 2012 are open in 10 categories, and have been extended to coincide with Helena’s 10th birthday celebrations. The Making A Difference Awards ceremony is at Langtree Park on Friday, September 21.
Awards include:
Bright Young Star – rewarding those under 25 who make a difference
Partner of the Year – an organisation which has been an invaluable source of support to local neighbourhoods
Green Fingers – residents who work tirelessly to improve their local environment
Together We Can – community groups working together to inspire change
Respect Your Neighbourhood – for those working to keep their neighbourhoods safe and peaceful
Reaching Out Award – celebrating those who work voluntarily to improve local communities
Inspirational Project, Local Hero, Outstanding Contribution and Tenant of the Year.
