Step up if you’ve a passion for animals

THE RSPCA is looking for dedicated people with a passion for animal welfare to join its board of trustees.

The branch covering St Helens, Warrington and Halton has identified key skills it needs to help the charity.

On the branch's 'wish list' are people with organisational skills and people with a good understanding of business planning/budget management. They are specifically appealing for people with a background in HR, law and retail.

Chairman Lisa McCaulder said:"This branch costs more than £200,000 a year to run and with the difficult economic climate it's harder than ever for charities like us to raise the funds we need.

"That's why we need a strong board of trustees who can bring a variety of skills to help the charity continue its great work caring for abused and abandoned animals."

If anyone is interested in becoming a trustee and would like more information, email Lisa at secretary@rspcawarrington.org.uk
