Police uncover cannabis factory on Park Road North, Newton-le-Willows with £85,000 worth of drugs

The Cannabis factory was discovered in Newton-le-Willows.
A HUGE cannabis factory containing drugs worth more than £85,000 has been discovered following a police raid.
Acting on intelligence gained from the community, officers discovered bags and plants in the swoop on Park Road North, Newton-le-Willows.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Jason Pulford said: “This was an excellent result that would not have been possible without the help of the public and the information they provided.
“This action demonstrates how Merseyside Police will act swiftly on all information provided.
“We take drugs activity very seriously and understand the negative effects it can have on a community and I thank those who came forward and provided the invaluable information that helped us uncover this factory."
"While this is a great result we must also remember that the landlord of this property has been left with thousands of pounds of damage to the property.
"She is a completely innocent victim of this criminal activity and has been left to pick up the pieces.
"Enquiries are on-going to trace the tenant and detectives are confident that an arrest will be made soon."
