Bridge works to cause traffic disruption

A works trial by Network Rail on a bridge over the East Lancs Road (A580) in St Helens will mean lane closures.

The assessment work, on the bridge next to the Waterside at Carr Mill Dam,will take place on Sunday, July 8 ending on Monday, July 9.

This trial is in advance of a Bridge Maintenance Scheme due to take place in October.

A lane closed in both directions at peak time this morning, all efficiently coned off. Number of workmen present? NONE! Absolute joke!
