POLICE are seeking witnesses after an allegation a sexual assault took place near to a train station.
The incident happened on Tuesday (January 24) at 8.30pm when a 31-year-old St Helens woman said she had been attacked in an alleyway off White Street, near Warrington Bank Quay station.
She described her attacker as a 23-year-old man, who was about 6ft 6ins tall, of thin build and dressed in a black tracksuit.
Officers want to speak to anyone approached by a woman on the station platform at about 9pm.
Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting incident 823 of January 24.
