A TEENAGER accused of stabbing a 15-year-old schoolboy to death is due to enter a plea today.
The accused’s identity had been subject to reporting restrictions while he was 17, however, he is now aged 18 and can be named as Matthew Briers, of Hempstead Close, Sutton Heath.
He is charged with murdering John Marsh, from Gladstone Street, St Helens on Saturday, November 21.
Junior rugby league player John suffered fatal stab wounds nearby his grandmother’s home in Hempstead Close.
Briers is in custody and was due to enter a plea today(Wednesday).
