CASH might be a bit tight during these tough times, but one golden-hearted Star reader aims put put a big smile on the faces of a St Helens family...by funding a holiday to Disneyland Paris.

Caring Stephen Grayson, 45, from Grasmere Avenue in Haresfinch, said he was making the gesture, because he wanted to help a family, with either one or two disabled children, to have the chance to enjoy a break in the French resort.

Stephen, who is currently unemployed, said he regularly contributes to children’s charities, but this year wanted to go a step further.

He explained: “I don’t have children of my own, but whenever possible I like to help, and this is something I really wanted to do.

“I used to give money to the Star Children’s Centre, and feel particularly strongly about helping disabled kids charities.

“The holiday needs to be booked by this August for next August, so there’s plenty of time.

“I’d suggest it would be better if every member of the family had a 10-year passport.

“I have been to the travel agents, who said such a holiday will cost around £1,500, if both kids are under 11, but that doesn’t matter. I would go above that total, and I will provide taxis to the airport.

“There’s an option to go by coach, but I wouldn’t advise it. It takes a long time to drive to Paris.”
