DREAM has once again been shortlisted for another major award, which recognises projects which have a positive impact on local communities.
The Civic Trust Award is given to developments which are culturally, socially or economically beneficial and make an outstanding contribution to the quality and appearance of the environment.
The St Helens sculpture, which stands on the site of the former Sutton Manor Colliery, is up against Liverpool One, Blencow Hall in Penrith, Midland Hotel in Morecambe, Paradise Street Pedestrian Bridge in Liverpool and the Pendleton Gateway Centre in Salford.
TV presenter and architect George Clarke will present the awards at St George’s Hall in Liverpool on Friday, March 12.
Dream, a 20m high artwork, depicting a young girl’s head and conceived by Catalan artist Jaume Plensa, has already scooped the prestigious Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture.
