Police confirm name of road victim as 78-year-old Hilda Ogden

A PENSIONER, who died after she was in collision with a bus in St Helens town centre, has been named as 78-year-old Hilda Ogden from Islands Brow.

Hilda was in collision with the bus while crossing the road at the junction of Corporation Street and Hall Street, St Helens ouside the Millennium Centre at around 2.50pm yesterday (Monday, December 21).

She later died in hospital.

The driver of the bus, which was the number 20 to Vista Road, stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the police in their enquiries.
