St Helens seminar to offer advice on mental toughness


A SPECIAL event aimed at helping people stay strong emotionally during testing times will be held in St Helens next Monday (November 30).

The aim of the Wellbeing Project is to equip people with the skills needed to deal with difficult and emotional periods in their lives Held at St Helens Chamber of Commerce, the free seminar, from 10am to 2.30pm, will tell people how to understanding assertiveness, dealing with conflict and the positive use of laughter.

Singing as a form of expression will also be explored, with guests taking part in group sessions.

There will also be sessions on common mental health problems, focusing on the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety and how to help others who may be struggling to cope.
