FANCY stepping back in time at your local library, then pop along to Newton-le-Willows Library on Tuesday, December 1, from 2pm to 4pm.
This special event has been organised in support of the World War Two Exhibition, Home Front.
Visitors can sing along to 1940s music with a wartime entertainer and reminisce with library staff and friends about experiences on the Home Front.
The Home Front exhibition will be held until December 19.
Two lucky youngsters have also become competition winners at book and colouring contests. Mason Gornall, aged two, from Parr won a Bookstart Bear after winning a Name the Bear competition with Benton.
Another winner was Bethany Wilton Eddleston, aged nine, from Nutgrove, who received a family ticket for four to see the Disney On Ice, Princess Wishes show at the Echo Arena, Liverpool.
