LOCAL writer Pam Taylor is home to roost, and putting on a play at the Citadel Theatre to help our local hospice.
Local writer and director Pam, who runs Chatterbox Productions, a theatre and film company based in Rainhill, has written the hilarious comedy, to be performed on November 19 to 20.
Home to Roost tells the story of Brendan and Liz, who have been married for some years now.
Brendan is a self-opinionated male chauvinist who loves life, pleasing himself and playing around, especially with Diane.
Brendan thinks Liz knows nothing of this until one night Liz decides to take things into her own hands.
Home to Roost promises to be a hilarious comedy performed by a cast of professional and semi- professional actors with Pam’s theatre group Chatterbox Productions.
Pam last brought the successful play, Another Kind of Love, to St Helens in June, and hopes to achieve similar success with Home to Roost, especially as the production is in the aid of a local charity.
Pam, from Rainhill, has generously decided to donate a percentage of all the ticket revenue to Willowbrook Hospice, an organisation that cares for people over eighteen years of age with life-limiting illnesses living in the St Helens and Knowsley area.
Since the hospice opened in 1997, it has cared for more than 4,000 patients, so as well as enjoying a night at the theatre you will be supporting a very worthwhile cause.
Tickets for the play cost £10, with concessions £9, and begins at 7.30pm.
Contact the citadel on 01744 735436 for details.
