Chamber's greenhouse effect

ST Helens Chambers’ £6million Enterprise Greenhouse is proving such a winner that its opening hours are being extended.

The building – which houses 31 business units designed to support local start-up companies – will now be open from 7am to 7pm.

St Helens Chamber opted to extend the hours due to the success to date in recruiting and developing firms at the site.

Debbie Brown, Director of Central Services, said: “Since we opened earlier this year we have been very pleased with the amount of start-up companies using the Greenhouse as their base.

“The extended hours will give companies more flexibility in the way they work and the opportunity to adapt to different business needs.

“We would encourage anyone looking for support in setting up a business to get in touch with us to see how the Chamber can help.”

The units are available exclusively to businesses in their first 18 months of trading, and benefit from high quality furnishings and IT equipment and support.

Tenants also benefit from a range of on-site business support including advice from the Chamber’s business support and training teams, a range of networking and training events held on site, use of meeting and conference facilities, plus on-site facilities staff, receptionists and switchboard service.

Rents are heavily subsidised for the first 18 months, offering excellent value for new companies.
