Boyzone bring a smile to Lara

PATIENTS at Whiston Hospital rubbed their eyes in disbelief when members of chart topping mega boy band Boyzone paid a surprise visit.

Ronan Keating, Shayne Lynch and Keith Duffy spent time with young patients in the Children’s Unit and dropped into adult ward G5.

Taking time out of their nationwide tour, the pop stars were greeted with a warm welcome from patients, relatives and staff and spent time chatting, signing autographs and having photos taken.

Gill Core, Director of Nursing said: “The looks on the patients’ faces as the boys walked through the door was priceless.

"Everyone was delighted and said how great it was that they took the time to visit the hospital and meet all the patients and staff.

"We are extremely grateful to them and thank them for sparing the time to visit.”
