TWO men had to be cut free from the wreckage of a car last night after a two-vehicle smash.
The incident, which happened just after 10.30pm on Craven Road, Rainhill, resulted in the men being taken to Whiston Hospital suffering from back and neck injuries.
Fire crews, who were on the scene for an hour, used hydraulic cutting gear to free the men and helped paramedics put them on spinal boards.
