LOSING six stones before the end of this year is a lofty target for Angela Morris, but the determined mum hopes her aim of raising money in memory of cancer victims will spur her on.
Forty-eight-year-old Angela, from Clock Face, aims to drop from 17stone 11bs to under 12 stone by December by following a demanding fitness regime and diet.
The mother-of-six, who is originally from Hereford, is also being driven to raise money for Willowbrook Hospice because cancer claimed the lives of her 32-year-old brother-in-law and her father.
Angela, who is married to Arriva employee, David (48) said: "It will be tough, but I work as a cleaner in the JJB shop at the Ravenhead Retail park so hopefully being close to the gym will make sure will make sure I keep up my training.
"So far things have gone well - I lost five pounds in a week. But I need to make sure I stay clear of the fatty foods.
"I see the hospice as a really good cause and I love the people of St Helens. So I want to make this happen and know I've got plenty of encouragement from my family."
