There have been delays
THERE is traffic congestion on the M6 up to Haydock Island due to a car fire earlier this morning (Friday, July 30).
Traffic is very slow due to the incident on the M6 southbound before Junction 19 A556 (Knutsford).
The congestion is up to Junction 23 (Haydock Island).

Travel time is around 30 minutes.
All lanes have been reopened.
Lane one (of three) was closed until around 10.15am.
