A CAR fire that broke out on Sunday is not suspicious, according to police.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze on Merton Bank Road just before 7.30pm on Sunday, November 8.

One fire engine attended and were on scene at 7.35pm.

On arrival, firefighters found a car on fire and it was extinguished using a high power hose reel jet followed by a compressed air foam system (CAFS) branch.

They left the scene at 8.22pm.

The incident was left in the hands of the police, who believe the cause of the fire to be non suspicious.
