EMERGENCY services were called to a Newton-le-Willows street this afternoon, Tuesday, after a man collapsed.
Police and paramedics were sent to Crow Lane East at around 12.55pm where a man in his 50s fell ill.
After being given treatment he was take to hospital at 1.30pm.
Four police cars, one ambulance and two rapid response vehicles were at the scene.
The road was closed off in both directions but is now open.
