AN appeal has been launched after an alleged robbery of a woman in the town centre took place yesterday afternoon, Monday.
Police were called to Ormskirk Street at around 4.35pm after a man smashed the shop window of the Iceland store.
Officers were then told the robbery of a woman happened at the scene but they have not been able to find her yet and the full details of the incident are not known.
The man accused of damaging the window is white, around 5ft 9in tall, with a shaved head and wore a grey tracksuit.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.
