- A Level students across St Helens and nationally are receiving their A Level results.
- Carmel College has seen a 98.7% pass rate with 51% of grades at A*-B. C.
- 78% of Rainford students achieved A*-C grades at A level with 82% achieving A*-C grades or the equivalent in all level 3 qualifications.
- At Cowley, students achieved a 98.5% pass rate
- Nationally, the proportion of candidates receiving top grades is the highest since 2012.
- A total of 26.4 per cent of entrants scored either an A or A*, up slightly on 26.3 per cent in 2017.
- Boys lead girls in the top grades for the second year running.
