A 17-YEAR-OLD boy who has been charged in connection with a disturbance in Newton-le-Willows in which a man was left with puncture wounds is due back in court.
The teenager, from Clifton, Manchester, is charged with aggravated burglary in connection with the incident.
A 54-year-old man was left with "serious injuries" after an incident on Alder Street, Newton-le-Willows on the night of Monday, July 16.
He sustained puncture wounds to his torso.
The teenager is accused of having entered a house on Alder Street as a trespasser with intent to steal while in possession of a screwdriver.
He is due to enter a plea at Liverpool Crown Court today (Thursday, August 16).
The 17-year-old was remanded in custody after appearing before Merseyside Magistrates’ Court last month.
