AFTER months of reading about horrible goings-on across St Helens like stabbings and horrid crimes, I am delighted to be continually picking up the paper and seeing stories about how we are celebrating our history.
It’s such an important year for us and one we should all be proud of.
I don’t think many people realise that the World of Glass is also the museum of St Helens with so much information about our town, which has such a proud history.
I know we had St Helens Day but it’s nice to know that we have a lot more going on this year.
I hope there is a big celebration at the end where we can all have three cheers together.
In this day and age there isn’t a lot to be proud of, but I’m proud to be from our lovely little town.
