A PRESCOT man has been arrested by police in connection with an investigation into the dealing of Class A drugs.

A 34-year-old man from Prescot was arrested by officers from Cheshire Police as part of a drugs operation in Willaston, on the Wirral Peninsula.

He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and of acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

Meanwhile, a 42 year-old man from Willaston and a 41-year-old man from Huyton were arrested on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs.

The three men have been released under investigation.

Meanwhile, a Liverpool man has been charged with possession with intent to supply as part of the investigation.

Lee Marr, 29, of Beckett Street, Kirkdale was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) after officers stopped a taxi on Wistaston Road, Willaston.

He has since been charged and appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday) where he pleaded not guilty to charges.

Marr has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Chester Crown Court on August 29.
