A 17-YEAR-OLD who has been charged in connection with a disturbance in Newton-le-Willows has appeared in court.
Nathan Burgess, of Malcolm Drive, Clifton, Manchester has been charged with aggravated burglary in connection with the incident.
He sustained puncture wounds to his torso.
Burgess is accused of having entered a house on Alder Street as a trespasser with intent to steal while in possession of a screwdriver.
He appeared at Merseyside Magistrates' Court today.
The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court where Burgess will next appear on Thursday, August 16.
He has been remanded in custody.
