A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after police chased a suspect made off on a bike before running through gardens.
Officers attempted to stop and speak to a man at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (Thursday, July 12) as he cycled along Waterland Way, Parr.
Not wishing to speak to them, the man cycled away.
He then dropped the bike and began to jump over garden fences along Firthland Way.
Officers gave chase following the suspect over the fences into the gardens. He was quickly detained and a bag was recovered, which contained a number of tightly-wrapped packages which were believed to contain drugs.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and being wanted on recall to prison.
