A 10-YEAR-OLD singing starlet is nervously waiting for UK audiences to watch her take centre stage on ITV's The Voice Kids this Tuesday.

Jennifer King from Newton-le-Willows will be appearing on the hit show as she looks to impress the impress judges Pixie Lott, will.i.am and Danny Jones from McFly.

The Federation of St Mary's Catholic School pupil, who told her parents Beatriz and Jonathon that she wanted to take part in the show last year after watching it on TV - was elated when she was accepted to do the auditions.

She said: "It was really fun to do it and I wasn't scared because I knew all I could do is my best and sing my heart out and see what happened next.

"When I was on the stage it was like I was in a dream because when I watched the show last year I told my mum and dad that I had to be on it.

"I know how lucky I am to perform in front of the judges and it would be great if people watch it to see how I do."

Her proud mum Beatriz King, said: "Jennifer has always been a singer, even from being a young child - that's why I put her in singing lessons at six-years-old.

"She is constantly telling me that when she is 16 she will be going on the X Factor, but after the show last year there was nothing stopping her.

"The whole audition process was amazing and so professional, we were with hundreds of children and were made up when she got through to do the auditions in front of the judges.

"Seeing her perform at the audition in front of the judges was such a proud moment for us.

"We are all very proud of Jennifer, she's very driven and knows what she wants to be in life - which is a singer.

"She does very good in school as well and I know her friends and school are supporting her as well."

Jennifer's episode will air on Tuesday, July 17 at 8pm.

The Voice Kids starts on Saturday night at 8pm.
