A CRASH involving three lorries and one cars has taken place on the M6 this evening, Friday.
The collision happened near to junction 25 southbound which caused the motorway to be closed from junction 26 to junction 23 at Haydock.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene with no information released yet about the conditions of the people involved in the crash.
The vehicles have been recovered and the road surface has been cleared up.
All three lanes have are now open.
A diversion has been set up at junction 26 to travel west on the M58 towards Skelmersdale, before exiting on to the A570 south.
Drivers can then head to the A580 East Lancashire Road and travel east to make their way to junction 23 of the M6.
