MORE than 60 people took part in a free yoga and pilates session at The Dream to celebrate International Yoga Day.

Instructor Nisha Srivastava, who has worked with both Saints, Haydock RLFC and Everton Football Club, held the the session at the foot of The Dream sculpture in Sutton Manor.

Nisha is originally from India where the word yoga means ‘union’ and this is the fourth time she has held an event at The Dream

She said: “It’s an amazing privilege to host a yoga session at The Dream, I took three other teachers along so people could experience different types of classes and it was great.

“I was made up that there was quite a few men who turned up which was great.

“International Day of Yoga was on Thursday but we moved it to the Saturday, so more people could come and it was great to see so many people.

“I love the fact that we held the event on the concrete where the natural vibrations are very positive.

“The Dream means looking forward and not focussing on the past, which is a very yoga message, so it was great to host it there.”

Nisha hosts yoga classes every Monday on Claughton Street in St Helens Town Centre.
