SAINTS second rower Zeb Taia has urged the fans to stop throwing beer at games after an incident last night when his wife was hit with a plastic beer bottle.
There were scenes of jubilation on Headingley's Western Terrace when Ryan Morgan crossed for the equalising try, but some of the celebrations went too far.
Taia tweeted: "Great win tonight from the boys!!! But need to address something... I love how our fans react to winning big games like that but please have respect to who ever is in the crowd with you guys!!! My wife copped a plastic beer bottle to the head after the Ryan Morgan Try..."
It is an issue that has plagued the club at away games on occasion this year - and although only done by a minority is having an impact.
He was supported by several others on social media who were equally appalled by a moment of celebration being marred by a small, anti-social element.

His views were endorsed by supporters who also called for something to be done to arrest this problem.
Its nothing new. Week in week out little boys buying ale just to throw around when we score. They need to kick them out or ban ale on the terraces. That would stop them. But why should everyone else suffer. Up the legal age limit to 25 that would help. Hope your wife is ok.
