IT'S time to step out for Willowbrook Hospice's colourful Moonlight walk this Saturday, June 9.

People of all ages are invited to take part in the annual event, taking on either a 6.5k or 10k walk route. Participants have the option of being showered by rainbow coloured powder paint at the start.

The fun starts from 7.30pm with entertainment from DJ Terryokee, the dancers from Jan Williams Theatre School and a pre-walk Glowfit warm-up from Heatone Fitness.

Before the walk starts, there will be a special balloon release where walkers can remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.

Diane Swann, senior fundraiser at Willowbrook, said: “This year we’re hoping that our walkers will fully embrace the colour splash theme by dressing up in their best and brightest.

"Every penny raised by our walkers will go towards the £4.5 million that it costs every year to maintain our care services to people across St Helens and Knowsley.”

Entry for children aged five to 16 is £5 (under fives go free) and £15 for adults.

Dogs are more than welcome but must be kept on a lead and cleaned up after.

All walkers will receive a T shirt, a medal and a well-earned bacon butty (or alternative) at the end of walk.
