POLICE have praised a good Samaritan who contacted emergency services after a woman was believed to have had a "medical episode" in Haydock yesterday evening, Sunday.
A resident made a call to ambulance staff over the wellbeing of woman on Millfield Lane at around 8.15pm.
A police helicopter was deployed to the scene along with police dog Falco, who found a woman that had fallen down a steep embankment.
Paramedics treated her at the scene before taking her to hospital.
