TWO would-be thieves caused around £500 worth of damage after trying to break into a work van in Eccleston in the early hours of yesterday morning, Friday.
The men were caught on camera approaching a van on Broadway at around 3.35am and walking to the passenger side.
They then came around to the driver's side where they both took turns attempting to get into the vehicle by applying force on the door lock.
After failing with their efforts to get inside, the duo, who were both wearing hoodies, left the scene.
The van owner said the door lock has been snapped and the panel has been scratched heavily which has left him with a bill of around £500 to pay.
If you have any information about the incident contact the police on 101.
