A MAN was taken to hospital this morning, Wednesday, after falling ill in St Helens town centre.
An ambulance and a rapid response unit were sent to Church Square at around 8.40am where paramedics treated a man in his mid-30s who had a "medical episode".
He was taken to Whiston Hospital in a serious condition.
