A 13-YEAR-OLD girl was taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car.
The collision, between the girl pedestrian and a red Vauxhall Corsa, happened on Parr Stocks Road shortly before 7pm yesterday evening.
It reportedly happened between Ramford Street and Sorogold Street, near to St Helens Fire station.
Road closures were in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said the girl was taken to hospital with "cuts and bruises".
He added: "She was taken to hospital with slight injuries. The road was reopened shortly after 8.30pm."
