A 41-YEAR-OLD man convicted of theft of a charity box from a pub and buying drinks with a stolen credit card is due to appear in court for sentence this afternoon.

Steven Anthony Larkin, of Houghton Street, Prescot, was convicted of several offences dating between November last year and February 2018 at Merseyside Magistrates' Court.

Larkin used a stolen credit card to buy drinks at the Old Mill pub, Prescot on November 6 and at Scotchbarn Lane, Prescot.

Larkin also stole a charity box at the Derby Lodge Hotel in Roby on January 7 this year.

He also stole clothes and food worth £418.07 from a Marks & Spencer shop in Widnes on February 22.

He has also been convicted an assault of a community support worker in Widnes on that date.

Convicted on March 9, Larkin, whose next hearing was adjourned on April 30 as a pre-sentence is prepared, is due to appear back before the magistrates' court this afternoon.
